At a time when culture is faltering, when some question it, declaring it superfluous or useless, we want to assert the opposite. This project places the values of Art Brut and Modest Art at the heart of its approach: the intimate pleasure of creating, emancipation from the judgment of others, the freedom to do things for oneself. <\/p>\n

Sasha transcends the question of beauty and ugliness by simply creating what he likes. And what he likes is what makes him feel good\u2014what expresses something true, because it is felt.[\/vc_column_text]

Bestioles (or learning to look at objects differently)<\/span><\/h3>

Estimated running time: 30 minutes[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1760426393033{padding-bottom: 32px !important;}”]A short interactive performance for preschool children, performed in the classroom, which invites young audience members to take a fresh look at the objects around them and encourages them to express themselves freely through the creation of a collective artwork.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The children will be welcomed by a grown-up child: Sasha, an artist. He will bring a suitcase containing his favorite objects, which he collected for their shape, color, texture… without worrying about their usefulness. The grown-up child will present his objects and explain why he likes them, encouraging the children to discover the beauty of a teaspoon, a paper clip, or a dust bunny. <\/p>\n

Using the objects in their suitcase, the grown-up Child will design an unusual creature for them, either a monstrous or friendly chimera. The children will then be guided in creating creatures (or a creature – a “bestiole”) using the objects they have brought with them. <\/p>\n

This show is part of the Bestioles \/ Sasha diptych, two creations developed simultaneously around art brut, each designed for a different audience depending on age group.<\/em>[\/vc_column_text]
