Les Abîmés (“The Damaged Ones”) recounts the fate of two brothers, P’tit Lu and Ludo, who are subjected to their father’s violence but who, until the very end, seek the light. Through encounters and discoveries, these two boys gradually find their way to resilience, opening themselves up to unexpected worlds: sewing for P’tit Lu, piano for Ludo.

The story unfolds in three episodes, short 30-minute nomadic forms, to be enjoyed together or separately. Designed to be performed in any type of venue—classroom, media library, or other—they do not require lighting design and allow for close proximity to the audience.

Episode 1: Noise and Silence
Episode 2: Harlequin
Episode 3: Fugues

This version of Les Abîmés is particularly suited to school audiences: theatre comes into the classroom to address the sensitive issue of domestic violence and open up a space for discussion after the performance.

The show is also available in a stage version, without intermission, designed for theatres.

We watch with great emotion these journeys filled with hopes and dreams, beautifully interpreted by young actors who accurately embody their characters. A deeply moving show that touches us profoundly.
Charly André Guibaud, Journal de la Provence

Catherine Verlaguet has the rare talent of writing about the world of childhood with a delicacy that allows her to tackle even the most difficult subjects. […] The humanity of her words and the accuracy of her insights are brought to life on stage by Bénédicte Guichardon in an approach that emphasises intimacy and lightness.
