Cultural activities

Le bel après-minuit designs its cultural and artistic activities in close connection with its shows, so that each creation is part of a dynamic process of encounter and exchange with the audience. It is about fostering dialogue, sparking curiosity, and supporting artistic discovery through participatory experiences. The company thus offers genuine artistic mediation led by passionate artists, a kind of parallel work to its shows that enriches its creative universe.

With this in mind, the company offers a range of workshops that explore different practices and forms of expression. Writing workshops, visual arts, introduction to theater, object manipulation… each proposal is designed as a space for transmission and experimentation where the audience is invited to approach creation from a new angle.

In addition to the workshops presented below, the company also offers tailor-made workshops, designed in close collaboration with theaters, schools, and partner organizations to meet their specific needs and expectations. These may include, for example, writing workshops (notably with Catherine Verlaguet, author of Les Abîmés), acting workshops, sewing workshops, or any other form devised together to extend and enrich the world of the shows.

Collage workshop

Around the show Les Abîmés

Inspired by the world of Les Abîmés, this workshop explores the concepts of repair and rebirth. Starting with imperfect elements—torn images, crumpled paper, forgotten fragments—participants create original compositions combining collage and drawing. An invitation to transform what is broken, to sublimate traces, and to bring forth new narratives from the damaged.

Cyanotype workshop

Around the show Mamie

Through discovering cyanotype, an ancient photographic printing technique, participants are invited to explore the themes of the show in a sensitive and playful way. This creative time becomes a space for discussion and reflection on the relationship with time, memory, and transmission.

Object theater & manipulation workshop

Around the show Les Abîmés

How do objects carry fragments of our lives? How can we tell stories through them? This workshop offers a playful approach to object theater: it invites everyone to manipulate, repurpose, and animate objects to reveal their narrative and sensory power.

Embroidery workshop

Around the show Le Fil

This workshop offers an opportunity to share and socialize around embroidery, approached both as a creative gesture and a symbolic act. Thread, both a raw material and a metaphor (for connection, transmission, attachment), becomes a tool for weaving personal and collective narratives.
