L’oeuf et la poule

Storytelling and image theater
5 years and up
55 minutes

Five-year-old Antonin has just learned that he is going to have a little brother. How will his imagination develop around this news? “But what’s happening to Mom? Why is her belly swelling like a balloon?”

Uncomfortable with all his questions, Antonin’s father attempts to explain using numerous metaphors… Antonin takes everything literally, and as the story progresses, the explanations become increasingly far-fetched.

To accompany the narration, animated images are projected in several places on the stage. They offer solutions that are sometimes simple and unusual to parents’ silences and explanations.
