What is an artist? Is it a profession like any other? What motivates us to embark on this path? Are we still artists if we don’t work?
The short form Reflections was created during the first lockdown in March 2020. Suddenly at a standstill, Bénédicte Guichardon and Nathan Chouchana questioned the meaning of their profession. After extensive research, they came up with the idea of a round table discussion, moderated by two journalists. Manipulating figurines at the table, transforming their voices to bring characters to life, they enjoyed comparing the perspectives of different artists (actors, writers, dancers, illustrators, etc.). Strongly inspired by comic books, this whimsical short form allows us to ask questions without taking ourselves too seriously.
After the performance, they offer a discussion with the audience to continue the dialogue on a subject that is not so easy to grasp.
